Eduardo García studied Industrial Design at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara from 1994 to 1998. He co-founded the DAM 162 design studio in 1999. With this firm, he has participated in various international trade shows, such as the International Design Biennial Exhibition in Saint-Etienne, France, in 2002 and 2004, and in the 100% Design Exhibition in London 2008, among others. In 2010, he founded the Santo & Jean Ya firm with main offices in Brooklyn NY, where he designs and manufactures furniture. Rock legend Lou Reed was the firm's first client. Santo & Jean Ya has participated in exhibits such as Wanted Design in NY and Maison & Objet in Paris. Tiffany & Co. is among his clients. His firm designed the displays for its store on Fifth Avenue.
In 2015, Santo & Jean Ya created the furniture brand Lobo de Mar to express the Mexican essence through innovation in processes, materials and applications.
Eduardo García won the Golden A 'Award in Milan, Italy with the "Butterfly" chair. The Butterfly chair is part of the selection of 100 chairs that have represented Mexico in the last century.
Eduardo García was selected as Best Designer of the Year 2012 by Design and Design. He has been mentioned in magazines such as ELLE Decor in Greece, Royal & Noble in Turkey, Architects Newspaper New York, among others. He has been invited to give lectures in INNOVA, DIMUEBLE and QUIEN SABE.
