Mauricio Lara (Mexico City, 1968) and Sebastian Lara (Mexico City, 1980) are graduates in Industrial Design from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. They created the EOS Mexico Studio and are a clear example of contemporary Mexican design. With more than 18 years of professional experience, they have earned a position as one of the most important design studios in Mexico.

They have designed for the Destination: Design program at MOMA, NY, and designed the Erizo pencil holder, the snack U hat, the Paper Cup and the barrel shaped Mexican salt shaker.

The Lara brothers have received several national and international design awards, such as the II Ibero-American Design Biennial Exhibition IDB 10 in Madrid and the 2nd National Design Competition for Furniture in American Hardwood. Their creations have been exhibited at different venues in America and Europe. Their creations, including the Vermont Collection by URREA, have been showcased in several specialized design media around the world.
